From Clos du Crêt, this variant of the route 16 for the more experienced offers a steeper and more technical ascent to the windmills from Les Sauvages. The circuit continues then by following the GR7 to the Col du Pilon, then by a sportive descent to the Lac des Sapins. The return to Amplepuis is done gently by the valley of Reins. Possible departure at the Lac des Sapins.
