Au dessus du village d'Arâches, avant d'arriver par la forêt à la station des Carroz, se trouve cette énorme roche posée dans la prairie que l'on nomme La Pierre à Laya, site privilégié où randonneurs, promeneurs mais aussi amateurs d'escalade aiment à découvrir la vue merveilleuse sur la Pointe d'Areu et la vallée de l'Arve.
