MTB in Louron Valley

In the heart of the Pyrenees, the "LOURON BIKE & TRAIL" mountain bike area has been developing since 2018 in the spirit of a trail center. Marked by a mountain topography, the trails evolve between forests and summer areas, from 1000 meters to 2200 meters in altitude.

The space is designed so that everyone will find pleasure according to their level on the 420 km of cross-country and enduro trails. Beginners will find initiation areas and trails suitable for skills training. Experienced and experts alike will find adrenaline there with trails designed for the international level. Here enduro mountain bike trails are created especially for this practice offering a maximum of fun and thus avoiding any conflict with hiking.

Services for Mountain bikers

It will be possible to seek the advice of qualified instructors in the various mountain bike schools in the valley, and also to rent a bike on site from one of the partner shops. And to end the days of riding well, what could be better than a short session on one of the 3 pumptracks?

Practical services are offered to riders : washing areas, SKYBAR snack bar, mountain bike shuttles, ski lifts, mountain biking information at the Tourist Office, game and race, social riding...

The mountain biking area is now internationally recognized with the venue of the Enduro World Series MTB World Cup.

MTB shuttles & lifts

Riding enduro, what could be better than 6000m negative during the day on dream stages? Everything is done for this in the LOURON BIKE & TRAIL MTB trail center.

You can use either the ski lifts, SKYVALL gondola and PRIVILEGE and LAC chairlifts to access the top of the area in the Peyragudes sector. You can also use the mountain bike shuttle service thanks to our 9 and 22 seater buses equipped with mountain bike trailers. Depending on your desires, these shuttles will take you, from April to November, for a single climb or a whole day of riding, to the top of other trails of the trail center in the Val Louron and Bordères-Louron sectors. Amazing days of riding to achieve !

Safety information

  • Cross-country MTB trails are mountain biking trails over the area. The green slopes are dedicated to beginners. Black runs require good physicalendurance
  • Enduro trails are a predominantly downward technical discipline that combines riding skills, crossing, resistance but also endurance for the length of the trails taken. The enduro trails evolve on natural mountain spaces which require a good appreciation of the environment.
  • For the same color of difficulty, enduro tracks will be more difficult than cross-country tracks. The practitioner must take this into account. Beginners are strongly advised to contact a mountain bike school to start the activity. Riding MTB endure trails, the wearing of protective equipment such as full face helmet, back protector and knee pads is strongly recommended.
  • You are in the mountains, find out about the weather conditions.
