Where the Alps and Provence meet, and just a few kilometers from the Gorges du Verdon, this is cycling country. We offer you cycling routes through truly exceptional landscapes to discover lavender fields, the Grand Canyon, tours of the Serre-Ponçon and Sainte-Croix lakes or Alpine passes.
Cycling clubs and sports enthusiasts can also come and train on these routes, designed by cycling enthusiasts, used by the Tour de France on several occasions and accessible all year round.
We offer 17 signposted or GPX-tracked cycle routes, 2 very long-distance routes over 1 or 2 days, 15 road passes between 800 and 1550m altitude, 2 itineraries on the “Durance à vélo” and the “Tour du Verdon à vélo”.
This area is recognized for the quality of its routes and has been awarded the Espace Cyclosport label by the FFC.

Here you'll find bike washing stations, electric mountain bike recharging stations, Bike Parks, pump track and handling trails, and a unique Olympic XC stadium in Provence (free and open all year round). Our tourist offices can also provide you with information on our bike rental companies, mountain bike guides, “Accueil Vélo” label accommodation and all-inclusive touring holidays with luggage transport.

Some routes are marked with directional signage indicating the route name and number (routes 1, 2, 3, 5, 14, 15). Routes are also equipped with specific signage.

The Provence Alpes Digne-les-Bains Tourist Office offers a range of all-inclusive outdoor sports stays, most of them designed as itinerant trips, including luggage transfers from one stage to the next and full-board accommodation (with packed lunches).
These 2- to 5-day packages can be enjoyed independently or accompanied by a guide, with flexible dates — meaning guests can choose to depart on any day of the year.
Hiking, mountain biking, gravel, road cycling, or trail-running stays can be savored solo, with family, or among friends — the choice is yours!
