Good plans : When hiking, there are a few things you can do to make your experience safer and more enjoyable. Walking poles (even on roads) improve balance in icy conditions, crampons provide grip, and regular hydration is essential. Carry a water bottle and snacks to keep your energy up. Step by step description : Departure point: From the tourist office, walk up Rue des Grandes Alpes towards Galibier. 1/ Walk up to the footbridge at the end of the Borgé parking lot, which leads to the fitness trail, 2/ When you reach the equestrian center, continue along the river. You'll wind your way through the forest and gain height until you reach the Verneys chairlift. 3/ Turn around and walk back along the same route (shuttle buses are available in summer and winter).
