Overlooked by the Aiguilles d'Arves, the Aiguille de l'Epaisseur and the Aiguille d'Argentière, the refuge is set amidst high-altitude meadows at 2260m.

In winter, access is difficult and subject to avalanche risk. Go accompanied by a guide.
Outside the supervised period (mid-September to beginning of March) you will find: blankets, 24 beds, crockery, gas, firewood.
The shelter is frost-free and there is no water at the shelter.
The toilet is located outside the building slightly below. In the dining room you will find a box for payment.
