Around Saint-Médard-en-Forez, all along the Coise, a tributary of the Loire, there are numerous remains of old hydraulic mills. Among those along the Espace Trail routes are the Moulin Feuillet, which has been renovated and is now inhabited, and the Moulin Bissy, which has been almost completely destroyed, both of which line the routes starting from Saint-Médard.
