73rd edition of France's oldest lumberjack competition in 2026.
Objective: chop up as many logs as possible with an axe. Events featuring woodworking, pastoralism, sheepdogs, craft fair, dance and fireworks.
The "Passe-Partout" association organizes the oldest wood festival in Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin.
Lumberjack competition: elimination rounds with fallen logs and final with standing trees. Wood and forestry-related events all weekend: demonstrations are announced throughout the day on site.

SATURDAY
Starting at 2pm:
- Doubles pétanque competition
- Craft fair, regional products, jumble sale
- Passe-Partout chainsaw sculpture
- Passe-Partout competition

SUNDAY
- From 11 a.m.: craft fair, regional products, jumble sale
- From 2pm: lumberjack competition
- From 6pm: prize-giving and tombola draw
- Evening: open-air dance with BENjYDj® and fireworks
