This route first follows the gently rolling hills around Saint-Amant Roche Savine, then leads onto the high plateaus of the Haut Livradois, offering beautiful viewpoints over the Auvergne mountains (Sancy, Chaîne des Puys). It passes close to the summit of the Livradois (1,215 m). The trail can also be started from the Azuréva holiday village in Fournols.
