This route will introduce you to typical and emblematic wine-growing villages of Sancerre.
From the tourist office you take a path to quickly find yourself in the middle of the vineyards towards the Fontenay village and its fountain square. Clos du Roc stands before you then Bois de Charnes. From La Crèle you follow the vineyards along the woods then you enter the Elchy plain with a passage through the Chambre village. You go around the village of Les Plessis to follow the superbly restored mills, you now go towards the wine-growing village of Saint Gemme then towards the Château du Nozay. You cross the Les Chaises villages then that of Les Vignes, aptly named, a break at the communal pond of Sury en Vaux is possible. You go up through the Valleys to the bike-trial training stadium. Via Saint-Louis farm and Croix Marcassin you reach Côtes de Sury-en-Vaux, then the village of Maimbray and that of Egrots. You arrive at Chaudoux then Chaudenay and Verdigny coast. Return to the famous Clos du Roc via the Perrière vineyard. You'll go through Saint Satur vineyard to reach the viaduct and the famous Casse-Cou path, the legendary arrival of the Sancerre Trail.
