Chapelle St Erige, dating back to the twelfth century, with some remarkably conserved murals. Also discover the legend of St. Erige, Bishop of Gap, who died in 604.
A secular place of devotion to the holy bishop with miraculous powers, it must have been enlarged, so that a second, more important apse, dedicated to Saint Denis, answers to that of Saint Erige. Between the two, in the niche dedicated to him, are painted delicate images of Mary Magdalene. Traces of earlier paintings remain near this triple decoration, yet the oldest in the region, dated 1451 and due to an admirable unknown painter, perhaps Piedmontese...
