From the village of Hérémence, the route takes you uphill to Mont Rouge. You will first reach the resort of Thyon by following the paths between the village chalets, before tackling the final climb, which offers magnificent views of the Dix dam and the Pic d'Artisol. The descent, which is easy at first, becomes a little more challenging before joining the balcony trail that will take you back to Hérémence. The last two kilometres follow the outward route.
