In the heart of an exceptional site in Valais, the Hôtel Restaurant du Barrage welcomes you at the foot of the imposing Grande Dixence dam. Its industrial-style building offers 60 rooms with a bird's eye view of the Val des Dix. A large dining room with a capacity of 70 people can accommodate day visitors and passing hikers and offers a high-quality catering service with varied menus and local dishes. Open from mid-June (when the cattle are taken up to the mountain pastures) to the end of October, like the refreshment bar, the lodge has five old barns that have been completely renovated. Each one has two floors with a living room and bathroom on the ground floor and four or eight beds on a mezzanine level accessible by ladder. The total capacity is 20 people. Meals are served at the refreshment bar, offering guests the opportunity to sample local produce.

This relatively new mountain hut is close to the Grande Dixence reservoir, one hour’s walk from the dam wall (cable car). Located at an altitude of 2657 m, it offers 60 sleeping places spread over 6 dormitories for 4 to 17 people, equipped with duvets. Several alpine itineraries to Verbier and Nendaz or the Dix hut.

From the beginning of June, our restaurant opens its doors to welcome you at the foot of the Grande Dixence Dam, three minutes from the crest and Lac des Dix. Recently renovated to welcome you in a warm atmosphere, our dining room can seat more than 70 people and offers varied and tasty menus. We offer a wide selection of food and drinks in our various dining rooms and on the newly equipped terrace for your comfort. The Praperoz refreshment bar is located on the road leading to the Dixence dam, at the start of the Planie trail and its Montagn'art sculptures. Open during the summer season, the place is frequented by locals for a local break on their return from hiking. In winter, it is the meeting point for cross-country skiers waiting for the ski bus back, a welcome break after a beautiful snowshoe hike in Val des Dix or a day of cross-country skiing in Pralong. Close to the Praperoz refreshment bar, you will find the Léteygeon ski lift and its snow garden, where you can learn the joys of skiing. Top tip: For ski touring enthusiasts, a secure route starting from the top of the 4 Vallées ski lifts will take you to the refreshment bar. A shuttle service (Pralong-Les Masses ski bus) will then take you back to the start of the Les Masses facilities.

This agrotourism cottage offers accommodation on the Mandelon mountain pasture with five renovated cottages equipped with all modern comforts (private shower and toilet, linen and bedding provided). Each cottage has two floors with a living room and bathroom on the ground floor. The sleeping area, on the mezzanine, is accessible via a ladder. The bedroom has 4 to 8 beds. Les Gîtes de Mandelon is open from mid-June to the end of October, as is the refreshment bar, which offers a catering service (lunch and dinner). The mountain pasture is accessible by car.
