The tour starts from the village of Sainte-Jalle, at the western entrance to the Ennuye valley, and heads towards Buis-les-Baronnies, on the slopes of the Col d'Ey. Once this southern gateway is reached, the route descends into the neighbouring Ouvèze valley, offering cyclists a breathtaking view of the Ventoux. The climb up the Ouvèze gorges through the village of Sainte-Euphémie leads to the foot of the Col de Peyruergue. Climbing this pass, which forms the eastern gateway to the Ennuye valley, the itinerary switches back to its original valley. The descent to the village of Saint-Sauveur Gourvernet is set against a backdrop of lavender and apricot orchards, before a final climb up the slopes of the valley's northern gateway: the Col de Soubeyrand. Shortly before reaching the summit, a small road forks off towards the hilltop village of Le Poët-Sigillat, then back down to the loop's starting point.
