Starting from the ‘Refuge du Maupuy’, you will discover a land interspersed with quarries, dating from the early 20th century, on a short and fairly straightforward route, ideal for beginners to trail running. You will first bypass the ‘Carrière de la Baleine’ using small paths, before descending alongside the ‘Carrière de la Vergnolle’, where a particular type of high quality granite was formerly extracted. Via wide straightforward tracks you will then reach the old wagons’ wall, previously used to transport the paving blocks to the station located below the hill. The end of the course is set on a slight incline and alternates between wide tracks and small paths.
