From the very start of the ascent the turns follow rapidly one after another. After a few introductory passages and the traverse of the old 4x4 track, the challenge takes a left along the path of the Plan de l’Aiguille via the Pré du Rocher. The ascent carries on into the forest, broken up with some clearings. The slope of the track, never being too steep, allows you to keep up a good rhythm on this second part of the challenge. A final rolling traverse leads up to the place named « Le Prè du Rocher » where the clock stops (sign posts). The descent can be done by returning on the same route or equally by a loop following directions for Alpages de Blaitière then Parking du Montenvers. Warning: this loop does not lead directly back to the starting point of the challenge.
