Here is a specific training workshop, created by the club Courir in Nyons, equipped with metric terminals every 50 meters. You will be able to progress on changes of gaits with landmarks.

The typical sessions of the coaches

  • Split every 50 meters by alternating fast-slow-fast, running or walking faster. You can also vary the distances: 100, 200 meters... and multiply the repetitions
  • Make 500 meters quickly with a recovery time according to your level of difficulty, on the spot or trotting (1'30-2'...). The benefit of this type of training: a fast, dense effort where you can maintain or maintain your maximum aerobic speed. It is aimed at beginners as well as confirmed with repetitions of 3 to 10 times 500 meters with phases of recovery by walking or running gently.

The advice of the coaches

We can also use this base to chain longer distances (1000, 2000 meters...). The floor is much softer than bitumen thanks to its coating so there is less risk of injury. Obviously, you should not do split sessions every day, but once or twice a week according to your goals.

For younger ones, we can organize relay sessions that will be more fun (1 person every 50, 100 meters...).
