Sport in Flanders
Gastronomy with loads of flavour

We really love our terroir here in Flanders. And what's more, we love to share it. From Michelin-starred restaurants to traditional estaminets, come and discover the flavours of Flanders, from starter to dessert. You'll find authentic products, grown and produced with care and character, just like the people of Flanders themselves.

Speaking of products with character, hops are everywhere here. You'll see them growing and curling along the hop fields. You'll find them in our local products: obviously from our brewers like 3 Monts or Brasserie du Pays Flamand, but also in our soap and desserts.

A festive region

No winter without carnival! This winter highlight warms hearts and is eagerly awaited by all. It's such a thrill to see Gargantua, the giant of the Bailleul carnival, parade past every Mardi Gras. And Reuze Papa looks spectacular at the Cassel carnival every Easter Monday. If the Flemish giants are eye-catchers at local festivals, so too are the carnival costumes, each more colourful than the last. Carnival is almost an Olympic discipline here and a time for sharing and enjoying the atmosphere together!

The Flemish adventure can also be enjoyed by the whole family. With play areas dotting the border on both sides, young and old alike can get up close to nature to enjoy themselves and enjoy all that it has to offer.
