This is a very difficult trail (black) of 3.85 km between the sea front and the uphill route towards the Canal de la Siagne. It will be much appreciated by urban trailers as a demanding itinerary with a varied environment.
Starting from Trail 1 at the Florence Gould roundabout, go west along Avenue du Maréchal Juin and you will come to a fine uphill passage along Avenue du Roi Albert Premier. At the intersection with Avenue de la Californie, where there is a water supply, continue to the right along Avenue du Roi Albert Premier, passing in front of the impressive entrance to “Le Californie” residence and Saint-George’s Church as you head for Boulevard Métropole. Go up Boulevard Métropole then turn left to begin the demanding climb up Boulevard Saint-Michel with its hair-pin turns in the middle of the eucalyptus trees. Towards the end of the trail you arrive at a flat section of Boulevard Supérieur Alexandre Lacour, taking you to the starting point of Trails 3 and 4 with a magnificent panorama over the Bay of Cannes, the Lérins islands and, in the distance, to the west, the Estérel mountain range.
