Farmhouse cheeses from GAEC Monte Padru are above all a family affair! In 2008, David and Chantal Costa, brother and sister, decided to take over the family business they had created forty years earlier, leaving behind their former occupations.

"Goat breeding is second nature to us! As children, we'd stick close to our father's side, or with my mother, as I did, to help make the cheese", says Chantal, the youngest. David's dynamic wife, Laëtitia, has been by their side since the beginning of the adventure. "The conversion wasn't that complicated for me. My paternal grandparents were also farmers! The most important thing is to have a good teacher!

For this, Laëtitia learned from her husband, for whom making goat's cheese is a family tradition. But today, the roles are carefully divided - even if sometimes interchangeable in an emergency!
