Over the years, this all-weather loop has become an essential training spot for runners in the Ossau Valley. Although the summit remains at a reasonable altitude (the pass is at 1288m), it nevertheless offers a festival of panoramas (Pyrenean foothills, Lazerque and Jaout massifs and the Pic du Midi d'Ossau). After a steep, technical descent to the beautiful village of Castet, it's a gentle ride back to Louvie-Juzon.
