The Lac d'Aiguebelette offers an incredibly diverse playground for walking, running, cycling, flying or sailing, whether you are a beginner or an experienced practicer. All year round, you can choose from a wide range of activities in the heart of a natural environment that invites you to recharge your batteries, between lake, countryside and mountains...

On Sunday, October 4, Lake Aiguebelette will host the 11th edition of the Very Flat Race: 100 stand-up paddlers will set off from Sougey Beach for the final round of the 2026 Alpine Lakes Tour. Why “very flat”? Because motorised boats have been banned here since 1967. It is one of the few lakes in the Alps where the water remains calm and flat from morning to evening — a unique feature that attracts paddlers from all over France, as well as Switzerland and Italy. The programme includes a joint start for the Long Distance (11.5 km) and Short Distance (4.5 km) races at 10:00 am, followed in the afternoon by the Technical Race, Dragon Race and Kids Race. The awards ceremony will take place at 4:30 pm. Free access for spectators: Sougey Beach is a great viewing spot, and the Technical Race takes place just a few metres from the shore.
