Autumn in lac d’Aiguebelette : contemplation and adventures
Savoie and its great lakes have much to offer in every season. When autumn comes, the forests that line the lac d’Aiguebelette are adorned with flamboyant colors which are reflected in the now well-refreshed waters. At this time of year, the lake's shores are more serene than in summer. Morning mists float over the water, enveloping the area in a mysterious veil, while the midday sun gently warms the colors of the surrounding hills. An atmosphere that will appeal to nature lovers seeking peace and quiet. Here, they can sail, fly and ride, all while feeling as though they have the whole place to themselves.

The Regional Nature Reserve of lac d’Aiguebelette
In March 2015, the Regional Nature Reserve of lac d’Aiguebelette is created. This is the first freshwater nature reserve in metropolitan France. This protected natural area is jointly managed by the Community of Municipalities of lac d’Aiguebelette and the Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels de Savoie.
